Benefits of a 6.25 inch
spacing is:

Better results

With a closer spacing (6.25 inch) the discs will remove up to 98% of weeds. Weeds such as fleabane and tap rooted weeds will be removed in one pass.

Full cut out

No weeds or residue gets through without being cut or ripped out with the Bute Discs 625 because of the closer disc spacing.

Fewer passes

No need for multiple passes here. The Bute 625 provides market-leading ground coverage, and the option for multiple weights ensures cut through on the very first pass.

The Bute 625 has a 6.25 inch (158.75 mm) gap between discs, as well as an aggressive angle on the disc.

These innovations make it the perfect tool for weed kill, sizing up residue, and working in the soil 98%. Itโ€™s one of our most popular discs.

How it works

See for yourself how the Bute Disc chain weights will give you better weed kill and one pass in the field. In this video, Kent Paterson walks you through the minimum and maximum weight of the Bute 625 disc chain. Heโ€™ll also show you how to get the perfect penetration of your soil.

Our Disc Options

Bute 625 Cutting discs

When you need that extra bit of cutting power and weed kill, the Bute cutting disc is the perfect option. With fine yet durable edges, the Bute cutting disc is an exceptional choice for those farmers looking to really size up the topsoil.

Bute 625 Standard discs

The Bute 625 standard disc has blunter edges than the cutting disc, making it the best choice for all round tillage. Using the standard disc with the right level of weights for your farm will result in a disc chain that provides the perfect combination of weed kill and topsoil tillage.
